How to Unlock a Razor Phone
Razrs are small, compact phones that offer a wide variety of features. Razr phones come with high-resolution cameras starting at 1.3 megapixels. Other features include support for Bluetooth, SD cards that allow for additional storage, audio and video playback and custom ringtones. Razr phones are GSM-based (Global System for Mobile Communications) and can be unlocked, meaning they can be used internationally or with any carrier that supports GSM phones.

1
Turn the phone off. Restart it and simultaneously hold the # and * keys. Instead of starting like normal, the phone will start using the Motorola bootloader.
-
2
Set the bootloader version to "7.D0." Select "Save." The phone will reboot--slower than usual--by itself.
-
-
3
Connect the Razr to your computer using the USB cable. After your computer detects the phone, run the Moto Unlocking Software. There is no installation required.
-
4
Click the "Connect" button to sync your phone with the software. Select "Yes." Your phone will stall and act strangely for a few seconds. This is normal. Eventually, it will shut off entirely.
-
5
Turn the phone on. It will be unlocked and ready for use with any GSM phone carrier.
