How to Pay Federal Withholding Online
Most working individuals must pay federal withholding taxes. Some people have these taxes automatically withheld from their checks by their employers. Others, such as self-employed individuals, must pay these taxes themselves. Traditionally, you would have to ensure that you had mailed a check to the IRS in enough time for your payment to be received by the due date. Now, you can quickly and easily pay federal withholding online with the aid of the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS).
