How to Import Bookmarks and Setting From Internet Explorer into Google Chrome

Chrome is an Internet browser released by Google that offers a minimalist approach to browsing the Internet. One of the key features of Google Chrome is the ability to import all of your user settings from Internet Explorer. This includes the ability to import your favorites/bookmarks, search engines, saved passwords and browsing history.

      Click "Start," "All Programs," "Google Chrome." Alternatively, click the "Start" orb and type "chrome" in the instant search box. Google Chrome appears in the list for you to choose.

      Click the "Wrench" pulldown menu on the far right-hand corner of your screen and choose "Import bookmarks & settings..."

      Choose the pulldown menu and select Internet Explorer.

      Place a check mark on the items you wish to import. You can choose to import the following: "Favorites/Bookmarks," "Search engines," "Saved passwords" and/or "Browsing history."

      Click "Import." Google Chrome will successfully import your settings from Internet Explorer.
