How to Remove One Panel of a Powerpoint Border
Microsoft PowerPoint provides one of the easiest ways to create a custom presentation. There is a wide array of PowerPoint borders available for you to use within the clip-art options found in PowerPoint. Many PowerPoint borders can be customized to provide you with a unique border to enhance the appearance of the presentation you are creating. Some PowerPoint borders are created from images, others from graphic shapes and lines combined together.

Open PowerPoint and go to the slide you'd like to modify.

Click on the slide border so all four corners of the border are highlighted.

Remove a panel created from a variety of graphic elements and shapes by choosing from the Draw menu, Ungroup. All the separate elements of the border will be highlighted. Click outside of the slide master to unselect the items currently highlighted. Select the section of the PowerPoint border you would like to remove. Press the delete button to remove the highlighted section of the PowerPoint border. To remove a panel from a border that is an image, select the crop tool from the drawing toolbar. Use the crop tool to crop out the section of the border image you no longer want to use.
