    • 2

Drain and rinse the garbanzo beans in a colander to remove excess liquid.

    • 3

Line the cookie sheet with a paper towel and transfer the beans onto the sheet. Roll over the garbanzo beans with another paper towel to absorb any remaining moisture. Discard the paper towels.

    • 4

Drizzle the garbanzo beans with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and spice blend. Toss gently to make sure the beans are coated.

    • 5

Place the cookie sheet in the preheated oven for approximately 30 to 35 minutes, depending on your oven. Once the garbanzo beans are golden brown and crispy, remove them and serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings

  • Rinsing canned beans is an effective way to reduce the sodium content.

  • Chili powder, curry powder and Creole seasoning are a few of the spices you can use to season roasted garbanzo beans. Experiment with different spices to make salty or sweet combinations.

  • Although you can store garbanzo beans in an airtight container, they may lose some of their crispiness.
