Ginger is believed to stop nausea caused by motion sickness. This idea came from the Asians to take crystallized ginger or take a ginger tablet before setting sail on a cruise or traveling on a plane for long periods of time. It is sure to stop you from getting motion sickness.

Purchase some acupressure point P6 from your local pharmacy. There is a brand of them named Sea-Bands that will press on a specific spot on your wrist that is believed to stop motion sickness. Thus the name acupressure points.

Contrary to popular belief, it is better to eat protein than crackers for nausea. Eat a few nuts every couple of hours when traveling on a plane or cruise ship. It is said to deter motion sickness.

Purchase some Queasy Pops which is a brand name of suckers that include essential oils in them that are said to activate brain nerves that control nausea. Many people are using them today for motion sickness especially with young children that cannot or will not take pills for motion sickness. In addition, eating a lollipop will keep them preoccupied while get adapted to the plane or cruise ship.

You can purchase some Dramamine or Bonine which are basically antihistamines that calm you down and keep you from getting nauseated. Both medicines are good, but Bonine is less likely to make you sleepy.
