How to File for Fiance Visa
A fiancé(e) visa, also known as K1 visa, is a nonimmigrant visa allowing the fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen to enter the United States and marry the petitioner. Before filing, it is required that the American citizen must personally meet his foreign fiancée before submitting a petition to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Once approved, the foreign fiancé(e) can apply for the visa at the U.S. embassy in his/her country.
