How to Adjust Microsoft Project for Large Plot

Microsoft Project is a management tool that allows you to manage deadlines, resources, schedules, meetings and time frames for any large-scale project involving several people. It helps managers to allocate resources to a project and estimate the time until completion. Microsoft Project offers reporting options and integration with other Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Access. Microsoft Project lays out project plans, and the page settings can be configured to create a layout suitable for a plotter.

  • Click the "File" menu on the main menu in the application. Select "Page Options." This opens a dialog window.

  • Click the "Page" tab. This is where page layout options are set. Scroll down to the section labeled "Orientation." Click the "Landscape" option.

  • Scroll down to the section labeled "Scaling." In this section, click the "Fit to" button. Fit the project to one page if possible.

  • Scroll to the section labeled "Paper Size." Enter the size of your plotter paper. A common size is 36" X 48".

  • Click the "OK" button once these options are set. You can now print to your plotter from Microsoft Project.
