How to Activate the Alarm in My Prius

The alarm system in the Toyota Prius is designed to protect your car when you are away. If anyone attempts to break into your car, the alarm goes off and alerts you. You can also activate your Prius alarm at any time, a useful feature if you are near your car and feel threatened. Keep yourself and your car safe by activating the alarm system whenever you leave your car. Activation is simple, requiring only the wireless remote control.

Instructions

1. Press the "Lock" button on the remote control to enable the alarm system on your Prius. The "Lock" button is the top button with a symbol of a closed padlock on it. If anyone attempts to break into your car, the alarm will sound.

2. Disable the alarm by pressing the "Unlock" button on the remote control. It's the second button with a symbol of an open padlock on it.

3. Activate the alarm immediately by pressing and holding the small, red "Panic" button on the remote control for one second. Your car will start beeping, and the lights on the Prius will blink on and off rapidly for one minute.

4. Stop the alarm by pressing any button on the remote control.
