1
Print out the pre-drawn tracing template, and then cut out the pattern. Trace your pre-made template cutout onto one paper plate. Cut along the tracing lines to create your paper angel.
-
2
Bring the left and right skirt ends of your angel to the back. Staple the two pieces together. This gives your angel a three-dimensional skirt. Tape is not recommended to pull together the angel's skirt because the weight of the paper plate will pull the tape apart.

Use markers to color in your angel's face, hair, hands and halo. You can use glitter to decorate your angel's outfit. If you have scrap fabric pieces available, you can use them to further customize your angel. Once you have finished decorating, place your new angel onto the top of your Christmas tree. This is a stand-alone angel, so you can also display it on your fireplace mantle or on your nightstand in your bedroom.

Tips & Warnings
Avid stitches may enjoy another festive craft: cross-stitched angels. Look for angel-themed or motif patterns. Most kits contain a pattern template, stitching instructions, a needle and all required threads to complete the pattern.
For children making the paper angel tree topper, you may let them trace the template pattern onto paper. However, help them during the cutting process to prevent any possibilities for injuries.
