How to Kill Geckos
Geckos are small tropical lizards about 4 inches in length. In warmer climates, geckos are often found in homes. They range in color from gray to green. They are able to scale vertical walls because of special suction cup-like structures they have on the bottom of their feet. Geckos are also nocturnal, making them harder to catch and remove. Often they can be found near windows and glass doors, and anywhere they can easily find insects to feed upon. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Purchase door and window seals from your local hardware store. Install the seals according to the instructions. This will prevent insects and geckos from coming into your home.
-
2
Place large bucket in a room where you have seen the most geckos. Apply petroleum jelly all around the inside rim of the bucket, about an inch thick. The petroleum jelly will keep the geckos from climbing back out of the bucket.

-
3
Purchase 50 feeder crickets from your local pet store or bait shop. Leave them in their "carry home" container. Place them in the bucket. Barely crack the lid open on the container.
-
4
Leave the bucket in place overnight. By morning, you should have captured several geckos. Many may be hiding inside the carry-home case of crickets.
-
5
Fill the bucket with water while the geckos are still in it. Place a large bath towel over the top of the bucket and hold it down in place for 3 minutes. The geckos will drown. Place dead geckos in a trash bag and dispose of the bag.
-
6
Repeat until all of the geckos are eliminated from your home.
