How to Take Iron & Vitamin B Together

Taking vitamin B and iron together is simple and easy. B vitamins also work well when taken in combination with each other in a B-complex formula. There are several different B vitamins such as vitamin B-12, B5 and B3. Iron is a mineral needed by the body to produce red blood cells. Both iron and vitamin B help to increase energy levels, making them a great combination. There are also many foods that contain both iron and B vitamins such as turkey, chicken and buffalo.

Tips & Warnings

  • Whole-food vitamins are best because your body absorbs vitamins made from food better than chemical man-made vitamins. Whole-food vitamins are derived from actual foods. Read the label to make sure you select whole-food supplements.

  • If you have a hard time swallowing vitamins, look for liquid whole-food supplements. These are usually available online or at the health food store.
