How to Retain Curls With Hair Spray Products
If you curl your hair only to discover that your curls have disappeared before you ever make it to your destination, it can put a damper on your day. One of the ways you can make your curls remain intact is to use hair spray products. You can purchase "Aerosol" hair sprays that come in a steel or aluminum container, or you can purchase "Non-Aerosol" hair sprays that come in a non-metal plastic container. The Aerosol level of the hair spray does not negate how well the product works. It only determines the type of container the spray must be packaged in. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Spray your hair with "Holding Spray" after it has been curled. The holding spray comes in many different strengths. You can choose light hold, medium hold, and firm hold. If your hair is fine, use a hair spray with a light hold. If you have medium to course hair, choose a stronger strength. Some of the stronger strength sprays can leave your hair feeling hard and brittle. To avoid this, be sure to use a spray that is "Alcohol Free."

2
Spray your hair with "Spritz" before curling your hair. The spritz will cause your curls to lock in place as the heat is applied to your hair.

3
Spray your hair with a "Anti-Humidity" hair spray. This type of spray will offer extra hold to your hair in humid weather conditions.

4
Spray your hair with a "Finishing Spray" to hold the curls. Because the finishing spray holds the hair very strongly, be sure that all of your curls are positioned the way you want them to fall before spraying your hair. The Finishing Spray will leave your hair stiff because of the high alcohol content.
