What you may not realize though is that when you run an app and then switch to something else, you are usually still running the original app in the "background", this causes your battery to drain quite rapidly.

Step 1

The Advanced Task Killer app will close all running programs and conserve your android phone's battery power.
Step 2

First download the Advanced Task Killer app from the Android Marketplace. After the app has been downloaded, select its icon to open the program.
Step 3

You will notice a screen open up that shows the icons of all the apps that are currently running in the background of your phone. Select the apps that you are no longer using and then press "KILL selected apps". Now you are conserving more energy and will enhance your Google phone's battery life.
