How to Write an RN Resume
A RN is a registered nurse. Registered nurses work to help care for patients. Once you have graduated from nursing school you may want to apply for a job as a nurse. In order to apply for a job you should have a proper resume. A resume can help you land a job as an RN.

Start by creating an initial list of your qualifications. Write down every single school you have graduated from as well as every single place that you have worked in your career as a nurse. Include your qualifications and certifications such as lactation consultant or pediatrics nursing specialist.

Write your name, address and phone number of at the top of the resume. Include your email address. If possible keep your email address as professional as possible. Avoid email addresses that contain too much personal information. Consider setting up a separate address just to apply for nursing jobs. Use an address such Marissa_Forlan_RN@hotmail.com

Start by listing your most recent job on the resume. Emphasize your duties as an RN. If you were in charge of a fifty bed patient ward mention this on the resume. If you assisted three doctors and worked many hours of overtime tell this to the reader. Use action verbs that convey your experience accurately.

List your academic training. Mention where you went to school for your undergraduate degree. Include the types of classes that you took as well as the place where you completed your clinical education. Be as specific as possible. If you worked in Parkland Hospital in Kentucky make sure the reader knows that's where you did your undergraduate RN training. An RN resume should be precise and detailed.
