Instructions

    • 1

Measure around the child's head, and add one inch. This will be the length of your crown cardboard piece. Cut a piece of cardboard to this length, 8 inches wide.

    • 2

Cut V-shaped pieces out of one of the long sides of the cardboard, making a series of points about two inches tall. This will be the top side of the crown.

    • 3

Wrap the entire crown with aluminum foil. Be careful to wrap all of the pointy parts well so that the cardboard doesn't show through.

    • 4

Use glitter glue to draw shapes on the surface of the crown. You can make lines, dots, criss-crosses or anything that you can come up with.

    • 5

Decorate the rest of the crown with sequins, feathers or any other craft item that you can find in the house.

    • 6

Hold the two short ends of the crown together, creating a circle. Staple the two ends along the entire side.

Tips & Warnings

  • Broken jewelry can be used to decorate the crown as long as the pieces aren't too heavy.

  • If you are dealing with very small children, gluing the crown is better than stapling.
