How to raise monies with a Greenery Sale

Selling live greenery around the holidays is an easy way to make money for your non-profit group.

Things You'll Need:

• LOCAL SMALL garden center or store.

   Contact a small, local garden center. We recommend a small, local center because they will usually give you the best price on your greenery. Sometimes the larger places arn't willing to budge from their prices, but you can still check. Be sure to check around. We like to stay local and support our local businesses.

   Get a price list from the gardener. Our prices we were given made us able to offer: 12" wreaths for $11.00 and our largest is 24" for $21.00. The interior ring is the inch size so our items are actually bigger. I printed these prices so you have an idea on prices. We offer poinsettias and white pine roping. We add anywhere from $2-$5.00 per item. Collect the monies for each item when they place their order.

   You will need to know when the cut off date for persons to receive their items the week of Thanksgiving or the week after (ask your garden center when they need the orders in by, to have the items received back in time). Most people want to put their items up those two weeks. Print up fliers, ad or posters and place them around. Include the cut off date, pick up date and location on your fliers. Make sure you give a sales flier with order form on the back to each and every member of your group. Ask each person try and sale 10 items.

4. 4

   When the items come in distribute each item to the sales person to deliver.
