How to Break in New Shoes With Rubbing Alcohol
Those gorgeous new shoes may have cost you a pretty penny, but they look wonderful with your favorite outfit. Unfortunately, like most new shoes, they are cramping your feet when you try to wear them right out of the box, causing painful blisters and making it impossible to walk. Don't give up and take them back to the store just yet. Instead of returning those gorgeous kicks, use a little rubbing alcohol to stretch out those new shoes to fit you just right. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Soak a cotton ball in rubbing alcohol.
-
2
Rub the alcohol deeply into the area of the shoe that is causing you pain. You can rub it onto more than one area at once if you have multiple problem areas.
-
-
3
Walk around in the shoes so that they take the shape of your foot and stretch to accommodate the problem areas. The alcohol will loosen the tenseness of the shoe and allow for adjustment.
-
4
Saturate the inside of your shoe completely if the entire shoe is causing you pain. Pour alcohol directly into the shoe, or wipe down the inside with an alcohol-soaked rag until the interior is completely soaked.
-
5
Wear the shoes while they are wet with rubbing alcohol (you can decide whether you want to wear socks or not) to stretch them out to accommodate your foot.

Tips & Warnings
Spot test the rubbing alcohol on an inconspicuous area of the shoe to make sure the alcohol will not damage or discolor your footwear.
Wearing thick socks while you are breaking in your shoes can stretch them even more and protect your feet from blisters.
