How to Get Rid of Netflix Ads on Yahoo

Regardless of whether or not you like the product they represent, pop up advertisements on the Internet are almost universally considered annoying. The Netflix ads that litter the Yahoo! main page are no exception - especially if you already have an account with Netflix. Luckily, computer programs exist designed to stop them from appearing. Simply install a small computer program and you'll never be bothered again.

Instructions

    • 1

Download a pop-up advertisement blocker. The Google Toolbar and Mozilla Firefox's built-in pop-up blocker (see References) are two examples of free programs designed for this purpose. There are a number of alternatives. Simply use your Web browser to download the software to your desktop and install (or, in the case of Mozilla's built-in pop-up blocker, download and install the Firefox Web browser).

    • 2

Restart your Web browser so that the new addition of your pop-up blocker can take affect.

    • 3

Go to "www.yahoo.com." Once your pop-up blocker has been installed, you should see no more pop-up advertisements at all, let alone for Netflix. Pop-up blockers won't just spare you from irritation while using the Yahoo! main page - you'll see no more pop-ups on the Internet, period.
