How to Load Towels Into Z Fold Towel Dispenser

Z-fold paper towels, or multifold paper towels, as they are sometimes known, are commonly used in commercial paper-towel dispensers. A Z-fold paper-towel dispenser works a lot like an upside-down tissue box: The act of pulling each towel out through the opening in the bottom of the dispenser tugs the next towel forward so that it's ready to be used. Most commercial paper towel dispensers lock shut with a key, so before you can load towels into the dispenser, you'll need to locate the appropriate key.

Instructions

1. Unlock the paper towel dispenser.

2. Lift the top off--or swing it up from--the paper towel dispenser.

3. Place the stacked paper towels into the dispenser from the top, inserting all the towels at once in a single stack if possible. The ragged edge of the paper towel stack--the edge that is not folded--should be facing toward the wall on the bottom of the stack and away from the wall at the top.

4. Keep adding towels until the dispenser is full to the top. Do not overfill to the point that the dispenser lid is difficult to replace.

5. Close the dispenser, lock it, and return the key to where you got it from--often a manager's key chain or in the maintenance closet, near the paper towels.
