How to Eliminate Urine Odor
-
1
Find the source of the odor. It may be easiest to put on gloves and feel around for the urine spot--it will be crusty and harder than the surrounding area. Stains are also a tell-tale sign of an area saturated with urine.

2
Once you've discovered the source of the odor, prepare the cleaning solution. Pour the recommended amount of detergent or soap into the tub and add the half gallon of water.

Dip the brush or rag into the water. If you are cleaning a surface that needs more gentle care, such as shag carpet, oriental rugs, etc., use a dampened rag and make sure that you have a gentle, non-bleach soap or detergent. Clean the area.

Once the area is cleaned and dry, sprinkle anti-odor powder over it. The powder has ingredients that bind with the odor molecules and remove them. Wait 24 hours, then vacuum up the powder.
