How to Create a Web Domain for Free

A web domain name identifies your website. These are the names directly to the left of .com, .net, and the other top-level domains. For example, in the domain www.google.com, ".com" is the first-level domain and "google" is the second-level domain. You can either purchase a domain name or create one free. Free domain names have many restrictions on them, including a link back to the domain name provider, a maximum number of visitors each month and the type of contents you can add to the website.

Instructions

Create a Free Web Domain

1. Go to the following website: http://www.freedomain.co.nr/index.php
   They allow you to create free domain names.

2. Below 'Check if your Free .CO.NR Domain Name is still available:,' type the domain name that you want to create in the text box next to 'WWW' and then click on "Check!"

3. If the domain name is available, you will get the 'Congratulations! The domain is still available!' message. Click on the "I want to Signup for this domain" option at the end of the page. If the domain name is not available, try another.

4. Some simple questions are displayed to check if the user is human. Answer the questions and then click on "Next Step."

5. Go through the rules for creating a free domain, click on the "I have read and understood everything mentioned above and I agree with the Terms of Service" check box at the end of the page and then click on "I have read and I Agree!"

6. Fill up the registration information and then click on "Next Step."

7. Next step asks for more registration information. Add it and then click on "Next Step."

8. Review the information you entered and then click on "Complete."

9. You will get an email with the link to activate your account and an activation code. Click on the link.

10. In the webpage that opens, type "Your Password," and "Activation Code" and then click on "Activate!" Your free web domain has been created.
