The Swine Flu or H1N1 is a new influenza virus that is causing illness to people all over the world. This virus is now a pandemic virus that is spreading from person to person. With the help of this eHow, you will be able to prevent getting the swine flu.

Things You'll Need:

  • Anti Bacterial soap
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Orange Juice
  1. Step 1

    In order to fight or prevent the swine flu or any other type of flu ie. seasonal flu or cold. You will need to take care and protect your body.

  2. Step 2

    TAKE CARE BY EATING: Eat a balanced diet that is well rounded with protein, vitamins, and iron.

  3. Step 3

    TAKE CARE BY DRINKING: Drink plenty of fluids. Drinking water will flush out toxins and cleanse your body. Try to drink atleast Eight (8 ounce) glasses of water.

  4. Step 4

    TAKE CARE BY EXERCISING: Regular exercise significantly increases life expectancy and improves overall health. Exercising can reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease, the flu, colds, and osteoporosis. Exercising can build your body's fitness and resistance level.

  5. Step 5

    TAKE CARE BY MANAGING STRESS: When you are able to maintain and control your stress, you are less likely to get sick. Try to manage your stress.

  6. Step 6

    TAKE CARE BY RESTING: It is important to get the enough sleep. Sleeping will allow the body to rejuvenate and help build the immune system.

  7. Step 7

    PROTECT BY WASHING: Wash your hands frequently with anti bacterial soap and warm water. Or use hand sanitizer.

  8. Step 8

    PROTECT BY NOT MAKING CONTACT: Try to avoid or minimize contact with anyone who may have the swine flu. Do not touch, kiss, hug, or making any other type of physical contact.

  9. Step 9

    PROTECT YOUR BODY: Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If a tissue is not available, sneeze into your shirt sleeve around your elbow. Do not sneeze or cough near your wrist because this may spread the virus to another by hand shaking.

  10. Step 10

    PROTECT AND PREPARE YOURSELF: Get the swine flu shot to minimize your chances of getting the swine flu.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid contact with anyone who may have the swine flu.
  • If you have the swine flu you should not go to work, school, or any where that you can spread the virus to the public.
  • Consult a doctor if you think you may have the swine flu.
