2. Step 2) The second step in being an alpha male has to with body posture. Alpha males take up a lot of room (they are not afraid to take up a lot of room either), they stand tall with an upright posture, they look everyone directly in the eye, and they give a firm handshake.

3. Step 3) Alpha males talk confidently and loudly--alpha males do not have mousy voices. Alpha males also choose their words wisely--they are typically the least talkative ones in the group. However, when they talk, everyone listens.

4. Step 4) True alpha males are projectors of energy--they do not absorb energy from others. True alpha males live by a code of conduct--regardless of the situation, alpha males will live by a code of conduct.

5. Step 5) Alpha males do not qualify their statements. An Alpha male says "I am tired"; an alpha male does not say "I am tired because I had a long day at work."

6. Step 6) Alpha males are defenders of women, protectors of children, and advocates of victims. Alpha males are the ones everyone turns to when the chips are down to put everything back together.
