Mix half an ounce of brewer's yeast (optional), one teaspoon of ground ginger, one teaspoon of sugar and one cup of cold water into a jar.

Screw the lid of the jar tightly into place to prevent any air from escaping. Store in a cool, dry place.

Adding a half cup of lemon juice to the plant mixture will sweeten the flavor of the final beer.
