How to Request Naturalization Records
Naturalization records show proof of U.S. citizenship. Obtaining your naturalization records can be done through U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by filling out a form and paying a processing fee. You cannot obtain your naturalization records online.

Download form N-565 free of charge from the USCIS website. You should also download the free instructions to see how to properly fill out and file your completed N-565 form.

Fill out the two-page form with all the necessary information requested.

Send your completed forms to either the Nebraska or the Texas U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Center, depending on what is noted in the instructions for your state of residence. Send in a personal check or money order with your forms to pay for the current processing fees for obtaining your naturalization records. Current fee amounts can be found on the USCIS website.

USCIS will follow up with you once your forms have been processed. If the agency has all the information needed, it will send you your naturalization records. If not, it will give you instructions on how to proceed.
