How to Draw a Football for Kids
Children are often given footballs to play with, although they are not usually regulation-size footballs, nor do they always look the same as the footballs used by adults. Usually footballs for adults have an official logo on them. Adult footballs are usually brown with white stripes.
Footballs intended for children (especially very young children) lack the seriousness of the adult-sized footballs. They are often colorful and they lack the official logos. They're often softer and they weigh less, and sometimes they're even fuzzy (like a stuffed animal).
Instructions

1
Draw an ellipse (an oval with two pointed ends). The body of the ellipse should be wide and full, like an eye or almond. This is the outline of the football.
-
2
Draw a horizontal line about one-third the length of the football, centered in the middle. This represents the seam through the middle of the football.
-
-
3
Draw eight short vertical lines at even intervals through the center of the horizontal line you drew in Step 2. These are the stitches holding the football together.
-
4
Draw a thick stripe on the left and right sides of the football, leaving room at both corners.
-
5
With the colored pencils, color the football. The stripes at either end, and the seam in the middle, should all be made one color and the rest of the football should be a different color.
