How to Find a Car's Owner by VIN Number

Save

There are many reasons one would want to know the owner of a car. For instance, many car enthusiasts try buying back their old cars after selling them many years later. However, finding out the owner of your old car can be tricky. Luckily, there are many vehicle history report websites that allow the user to search for a vehicle's history with the vehicle identification number, more commonly referred to as a VIN. The VIN can tell you practically anything about the car, including color, year, make and model. The registered owner is also tied to the vehicle, so looking up the VIN can reveal the history of ownership, which includes the present owner.
