Proper treatment of your glove will keep the leather flexible as well as keeping it from drying and cracking. By performing a couple of simple tasks you can keep your glove in top-notch shape for a longer period of time.

  • Shaving cream or leather conditioner

      Place a small amount of shaving cream or leather conditioner onto a rag and rub it into the inside of your glove. Doing this will help condition and soften the leather.

      Take another small amount of shaving cream or leather conditioner and rub it onto the outside of the glove.

      Place a baseball in the pocket of your glove and wrap a rubber band around the glove to keep it closed. If you do this while breaking in your glove in for the first time, then your glove can't be used for a few days. If you're putting your glove away for the season or conditioning your glove during the season, you can skip this step.

Tips & Warnings

  • Do not use too much oil or shaving cream when treating your glove because doing so can damage the leather.
