1
A few things you are going to need is cut outs or print outs of the arms, beak / nose, feet, etc. You will also need a hot glue gun, super glue, beads for eyes, and felt pens.
-
2
Find a goose beak pattern or other, wing or feet on the Internet for the Sock puppet and print it out. It can be anything like a nose, eyes, whatever you would like! You can also make your own pattern with color pencils or colored pens which would stand out more. Remember, the brighter the colors - the better.

3
Glue the beak or its nose at the very top of the sock. Use a glue gun or you are welcome to sew it in too.
-
4
Cut off the very bottom of the sock (not the top where the beak or nose should be). Make sure to cut it about 3 inches so the puppet won't really look like a sock puppet.
-
5
Unless your puppet is a snake, add the arms, wings, and legs that you cut out or printed with super glue or a glue gun. You can glue them to the bottom of the sock where your hand is supposed to enter.
Don't forget to draw your nostrils or eyes in. Ta-da! Now you have made your first puppet!
