Instructions

  1. Create Baby Invitation

    • 1

Determine the size of your invitation and input these dimensions into your computer. Using Microsoft Word, enter the size into the "Page Setup" tab, which is located under "Page Layout." The 4" x 5" is the most common choice, because the envelope size is plentiful at most stores and you can make two out of a regular 8.5" x 11" size sheet of paper.

Determine your theme for the invitation and design it based on that theme. It is a good idea to use the theme that mom has selected for the baby room. If it is a jungle theme, include jungle animals and trees. Including special pictures or elements you would like to incorporate within the designated area. A great way to personalize it would be to include a picture of mom showing off her tummy. In Microsoft Word click on the "Insert" tab and then click "Picture." A box will open up so you can load your desired picture into the invitation. Click on your desired picture and then click "Insert." Resize and place the picture in the desired location on the invitation.

Make sure you include the event title, date, time, location, names of honorees and any specific information invitees might need, such as where the mother-to-be is registered for gifts. Also include a name and phone number or address for your invitees to use to RSVP for the affair.

Proof and finalize anything you wish to change on the invitation, then print it out. Use a color printer to produce the best quality invitation.

Cut the printed card stock as necessary to fit the desired size and envelope. Place in the envelope, address it, affix postage, and mail it out.
