How to Make a Baby With Colic Sleep
A colicky baby can test even the most experienced parents, especially when they are being deprived of sleep. Getting your colicky baby to sleep will provide you with a chance to eat, clean or just recharge your batteries.

1
Swaddle your baby tightly. There are special blankets made for swaddling or you can use a receiving blanket. Thermal receiving blankets will make the tightest swaddle other than a swaddle blanket.
-
2
Let your baby suck on a pacifier or even your clean pinkie finger. Many babies need the sucking motion to calm down and to stay calm.

3
Turn your white noise machine onto a sound such as rain, or waves. If you do not own a white noise machine simply turning on a hair dryer or the clothes dryer can work.
-
4
Turn your baby on his side with one of your hands near his head where you can hold the pacifier. Keep the baby on his side while you rock him back and forth in a quick but short motion until he has calmed.
-
5
Place your baby in his swing. Turn the swing onto high. The movement of the swing while swaddled will remind your baby of the womb.

Tips & Warnings
Switching off on all five steps will bring about your best results.
Always make sure that your baby is secure in his swing.
Remain calm while dealing with your baby. Your baby can sense your mood.
Colicky babies can bring a parent to their breaking point. Never shake your baby. If you feel like you can not keep control of yourself place your baby in his crib, walk out of the room, and close the door. If you can not regain your composure within about 10 minutes call a family member or friend that can come take over care of your baby while you leave the house for a little while.
