Plants that have been propagated by means of cutting usually do best if they have gone though one cycle of seasons in a controlled environment. After that, the plant will flourish outdoors. Tips & Warnings
Replant your plant only after it has doubled in size and shows positive signs of health. Look for strong green coloring and budding to appear before you decide to replant. When you place the plant into the outside ground, be sure the ground is thawed and the risk of frost is completely gone. It is best to replant in late spring or early summer to keep the environment steady. The plant until now has been used to a humid and very warm climate. Placing the plant into the ground just weeks before winter will surely kill the new seedling.
