How to Apply Eyeliner to Hooded Eyes

  • Eyeliner
  • Eye shadow in a dark shade

      Apply eye shadow to the crease of the eye and slightly above and below it. Use medium to dark colors on this area such as brown or charcoal.

      Apply a lighter color of eye shadow to the upper brow bone and on the inner corners of the eyes.

      Gently pull the eyelashes on the outer part of the eye in a horizontal direction until the eyelid is taut.

      Draw a thin line, with an eyeliner pencil or liquid liner, from the inner corner of the eye to the middle of the lash line. Release the eyelashes.

      Gently pull the eyelashes in the middle of the lash line towards the inner part of the eye until the skin on the eyelid is taut.

      Finish lining the eye by applying a thin line of eyeliner starting at the outer edge of the eye, working towards the middle until you come to the area where you left off in step 2. Connect the line and release the eyelashes.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a softer look, slightly blend the eyeliner with a cotton swab by using small, short strokes across the entire lash line.

  • Use a dark colored eyeliner to help the eyes stand out.
