How to Fold Festive Napkins
Any dinner party can be made more festive with the addition of simple touches to the table decorations. Place the napkin face down on a flat surface.

Fold the napkin in half, crease it, and then open it back again.

Accordion-fold the napkin from the bottom to the middle crease. Make sure to line up your last fold with the center crease.

Fold the second half of the napkin in the same manner. At the end of this step, it should look like a folded hand fan.

Fold the entire napkin in half. It should look like a "V" at this point.

Insert the folded end into the napkin ring. Fan out the creases and lay flat on the plate to complete your place setting.

Tips & Warnings
Use a solid color napkin or a napkin with a very small print for the cleanest look to this fold. Additionally, iron your napkin and add spray starch to make your folds sharper.
If you use spray starch, make sure you only lightly spray the napkin. You want the napkin to look crisp but still be usable in the end.
