Things You'll Need:
- Kraft paper
- Pencil
- Tape measure
- Tape
- Power screwdriver
- Stemware rack
-
Step 1
Purchase a stemware rack of the proper length that will accommodate your glasses. Measure the screws that are included with your stemware racks to make sure they are correctly sized for your shelf or cabinet. Occasionally screws will be too long. A screw that would extend through the cabinet and into the shelf above is too long. Simply replace these with a shorter version of the same screw.
-
Step 2
Place a piece of Kraft paper on a flat surface. Pre-position the stemware racks on the Kraft paper. Pre-fit your stemware by placing different types of stemware in position to make sure you have sufficient room between racks. Sometimes the bowls of the glasses will extend beyond the sides of individual rows.
-
Step 3
Measure the anticipated width of your installation to make sure it will fit inside your cabinet or under your shelf. Mark the location of all mounting holes on the Kraft paper. Put the racks and stemware to the side.
-
Step 4
Poke holes through the paper at each mounting hole mark. Align the Kraft paper template inside the cabinet or under the shelf, and tape the template so that the racks will be straight.
-
Step 5
Mark the underside of the cabinet or shelf at the poked holes. Remove the template.
-
Step 6
Position each rack and screw it into place where you have marked. Your rack should accommodate the various sizes of your stemware.
