Tips & Warnings

  • Hang your string in your house on Dec. 1 as an Advent decoration. As each day of Advent passes, your children can remove a link in the chain.

  • To add meaning to the Advent calendar, print Bible verses, Advent facts, the words of Christmas carols or other words with holiday meaning on each strip. Your children will become more excited about using the Advent calendar as removing each strip reveals a new surprise.
