How to Take Collagen Pills

Collagen pills have been known to help both with weight loss and with the reduction of wrinkles. Collagen pills may be prescribed by a doctor; however it's also possible to purchase this product without a prescription. Although they haven't been officially designed a weight-loss product by the FDA, collagen pills have helped many individuals lose weight and correct skin blemishes.

  • Eat your last meal at least four hours before you go to bed; your stomach should be empty when you take collagen pills. You shouldn't take any other medication or drink water during this four-hour period.

  • Take a collagen pill right before going to bed.

  • Avoid drinking any liquids or eating any meals until the next morning.

  • Continue this process for 60 to 90 days. If you fail to see any change in your weight or skin, discontinue use.
