How to Watch Out-of-Market NFL Games

NFL games are the most popular sport in the United States, our true national pastime. Most NFL fans can watch their local teams each week on TV, as well as other games broadcast on CBS, NBC, FOX and ESPN. In the past, diehard fans would not be able to watch many of the games being played outside their markets. Today, however, any out-of-market NFL game can be watched by fans that have the proper resources.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket. Although this is the most expensive option, it is the most reliable. Up to 14 games are broadcast every Sunday (more than 200 games a season) in HD and Dolby Digital surround sound.

Purchase NFL Network through your cable provider. NFL Network broadcasts eight live games throughout the regular season and shows replays of other games throughout the week.

    • 3

Purchase the online NFL Sunday Ticket. In 2007, the NFL and DirecTV made a deal that allowed individuals who subscribed to NFL Sunday Ticket to watch games online. Today, you can purchase the online NFL Sunday Ticket separately for about $100 each season. The only requirement is a computer with broadband internet connection.

If you don't have the extra income to buy extended cable or satellite coverage, find a sports bar that has access to out-of-market games.
