How to Become an ASPCA Police Officer

Do you love animals and want to fight for their rights? Becoming an ASPCA police officer, also known as a Humane Law Enforcement Agent, will help you turn your love of animals into an interesting and rewarding career. The ASPCA, or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, is a non-profit organization devoted to the prevention of animal abuse and exploitation. Tips & Warnings

  • Be familiar with the ASPCA's mission so that you will have a clearer understanding of what will be required of you should your application be accepted.

  • Due to the nature of the job, be sure that you have the constitution to fulfill your job description properly. The ASPCA investigates claims of animal cruelty, which can include torture and abuse to animals, so be sure that you are emotionally capable of handling such situations.
