You can create a Dynamic PDF file without having to purchase expensive software. Free downloads are available that will do the job just fine. After downloading and installing the software, it's just a matter of using the "Print" command in any application and choosing the software print driver as the output. You'll need a PDF reader to view the file. The Adobe Reader is also a free download.
Things You'll Need
- Administrator permissions to install programs on your computer
How to Create a Dynamic PDF
Download the pdf995 suite of software from the Software995 website (see link in Resources). The suite consists of three programs: Pdf995, PdfEdit995 and Signature995.
Install the Pdf995 program first, and you will be prompted to install the others as needed. An explanation of features and operating procedures will be supplied as you download each part and complete the installation.
Install Adobe Reader (if you don't already have it) for viewing the PDF files after creation. See link in Resources.
Open the document or file that you want to convert to a Dynamic PDF.
Choose "Print" and choose "PDF995" as your output device. Do not select "Print to File," as you will be prompted to select a name and output directory later. The file will now appear in the PDF reader for further use.
