How to Create a Website in SWiSH Max
Because of the wealth of features in SWiSH Max, making a website using this web development tool can involve many steps that require a lot of time. You can save time by using SWiSH Max templates, making a website in just a few moments.

1
Open SWiSH Max and create a new website project by selecting "File>New Project," select the "Sites" category, then the "HiFi" template (the steps for the other templates are essentially the same). Name and save your website project.

2
Delete a menu item your content may not need by clicking on the Wizard panel (which displays "Wizard" on top), and clicking the "Allow manual editing" icon.
In the Layout panel click the magnifying glass and zoom in on the element containing the menu labels Home, About, and on through Contact.
On the Outline panel, click the "MENU_4" icon, which represents the Gallery label. Press "Delete" to delete the menu label.

3
Fill the hole left by the menu label deletion. In the Layout panel, click the "Selection" tool (the arrow), press and hold the "Shift" key while you click on the remaining Menu labels (e.g., Home, About, News, Contact).
Select "Modify>Align>Space Evenly>Vertically" to redistribute the labels.
-
4
Create a welcome message. In the Wizard panel, click "section 1." In the Title and Tagline properties, enter a personalized message.
-
5
Edit the remaining sections of your site in the same way you edited the Welcome message. Click on each section's name in the Wizard panel, and click the properties associated with that section. For example, for section 5, change the Email property to your email address.
-
6
Publish your site on your development machine (i.e., your development environment). Click the main section in the Wizard panel, then click the "Publish" icon, which is at the top of the Wizard pane. Jot down needed content changes as the browser displays your pages and make necessary revisions.
-
7
Upload your completed site to your production server. Click "Main" in the Wizard panel, then the "Publish" icon at the top of the panel. In the dialog box that appears, configure the connection to your site's FTP server. Contact your site administrator or hosting company for the correct host name and other connection parameters.
Press the "Connect" button, browse to the server folder where your pages will be stored, then select all files to upload. Press "Upload."
