How to Cure an Ear Ache Quickly
An ear ache is most likely caused by a bacterial infection, resulting from excess moisture in the ear canal. Ear aches can also accompany the common cold. Avoid expensive or time-consuming treatments and relieve your aching ears quickly and easily. This guide shows you how to effectively and efficiently rid yourself of an ear ache.

Run the tap water for a minute until luke warm.

Soak the wash cloth with the luke-warm water. Turn off the water.

Ring out the wash cloth.

Stuff the wash cloth at the bottom of a drinking glass.

Place the glass against your ear for five minutes.

Place four to five drops of hydrogen peroxide in your ear with an eyedropper if the pain persists.

Lay on your side for 15 minutes, with the ear in question facing the ceiling.

Wipe up the excess hydrogen peroxide with a paper towel.

Tips & Warnings
You can simply use a hot washcloth directly against the ear for five minutes instead of the added step of using a glass if you prefer, creating a hot compress.
Mineral oil can be used in place of the hydrogen peroxide.
If your ear ache persists for more than a couple hours, visit your doctor as soon as you can. There may be a more serious problem at hand than an at-home remedy can cure.
