Instructions

  1. Easing the Pain

    • 1

Place a cold pack against the outside of your jaw. This will help keep down swelling as well as quickly numb the pain. To use a more direct approach, use an ice cube and place it on your aching teeth.

    • 2

Smash up 2 tbsp. of whole cloves and mix with 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Place the paste on your painful tooth and gums. The paste should help eliminate the pain almost immediately, but it is only a temporary solution.

    • 3

Massage your earlobe or hand (between the thumb and forefinger) gently. If your toothache is on the right side, take two fingers and rub the earlobe (or hand) on your right side and vice versa.

Tips & Warnings

  • Follow regular dental hygiene to prevent tooth and gum issues.

  • If the pain from a toothache persists, call your dentist. Tooth or gum pain can be a symptom of more serious problems.
