Instructions

    • 1

Choose an adhesive-removing solvent that can safely be applied to industrial and household surfaces.

    • 2

Ventiliate the area by opening the windows if your subfoor is indoors. This is necessary as a preventative measure against hazardous fumes from the chemical product.

    • 3

Pour warm water onto the affected areas on the floor and allow the areas to soak for 30 minutes. The glue will soften before the solvent is applied, which eases removal.

    • 4

Apply the adhesive remover according to the instructions on the bottle. Allow it to dissolve the tile glue for the instructed amount of time.

    • 5

Scrape the glue residue until it has completely lifted from the surface. Sweep up the loose pieces and wash the subfloor with an appropriate cleaner for a thorough removal.
