A great-tasting, healthy smoothie can be made sweet by the fruit and just a hint of honey. Start with frozen bananas and strawberries, and there is no need for ice, which waters down a smoothie. Buy fresh bananas, peel and slice them, and then portion them into zip-close bags and store in the freezer to use for your smoothies. Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1 fresh banana
  • 6-ounce can pineapple juice
  • 1 cup sliced frozen bananas
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Milk (optional)
  • Blender

      Add the yogurt, fresh banana, pineapple juice and the frozen bananas to the blender. Blend well to liquify the ingredients.

      Drop in the frozen strawberries and honey, and then continue blending. The mixture will be very thick. Add a small amount of milk if you prefer a thinner drink.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never give honey to children under the age of 1. Leave out the honey if you will be sharing this smoothie with a baby.
