How to Fix a Relationship Between a Best Friend
Rifts between best friends can be very painful for all involved, and for the most part both parties wish to mend the problems between them. As with any interpersonal relationships friendships always have bumps in the roles and face adversity, it is how this adversity is combated that displays the strength of the friendship. Best friends are valuable and it is always a good idea to do whatever necessary to keep that bond as strong as possible.

1
Send your best friend a note or email, just to show you are thinking about them and want to remain friends. You don't have to mention whatever caused your fight, simply ask how their life is going and be friendly. Make it clear that you hold no grudge.
-
2
Find out and analyze why you and your best friend are having problems. It is not necessary to assign blame, rather recognize what caused the rift to begin with so it doesn't happen again. You are not trying to figure out who was right and who was wrong, that kind of stubbornness will only lead to future problems. Instead, learn how you can react differently in the future and make your relationship stronger.

3
Take your best friend out to a nice meal, just to show that all is good and you can continue your friendship into the future. This is not an apology meal and you don't have to admit fault, instead you are simply showing maturity by allowing a problem to be left in the past. If they are unable to get past what happened, that is their problem, not yours.

If you feel the need, discuss what happened to cause your falling out, and politely explain where you were coming from. Don't argue or insist that you were right, simply explain your emotions so they know your perspective. A person who is your best friend should know you well enough that they will care how you are feeling inside, regardless of whether they thought they were right in the specific situation.
