How to Hang a TV in a Corner
Sometimes the best place to hang a TV is in the corner. Not only can it maximize your space, but it can also dress up an otherwise empty wall. A corner wall mount is especially useful for rooms with limited wall space.
Things You'll Need
- Pencil
- Stud finder
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Wall level
- Hammer
- Wall anchors
- Wall mount

Pick the corner and height where you want the television mounted. Mark the wall lightly with a pencil.

Use a wall level to make sure the TV mount will be parallel and even with the floor. Remark the wall if necessary.

Use a stud finder on the corner where the TV will be installed.

Drill four holes into the wall where the mounting bracket will be placed, using the pencil markings as a guide.

Hammer anchors into the wall.

Screw the wall mount into the wall anchors.

Remove the four bolts or screws from the back of the TV.

Hold the TV up to the wall mount and screw in the bolts or screws.

Before you mount a TV, Home Shelving Guide recommends checking to see if the mount will hold the weight of the TV. A flat-screen TV that weighs more than 125 pounds should be mounted with a dual-arm bracket. TVs that are not as heavy can be mounted using a single-arm bracket.
