Things You'll Need

  • Water
  • Spray bottle
  • Tea tree oil
  • Sponge
  • Dish soap
  • Distilled white vinegar
  • Grapefruit seed extract

Instructions

  1. Tea Tree Oil

    • 1

      Pour 2 cups of water inside a clean spray bottle. Add 2 tsp. of tea tree oil to the water. Swish the spray bottle around to mix the contents thoroughly.

      Spray the mixture liberally on the mold and mildew.

      Wipe the surface mold and mildew off the item with a damp sponge.

      Resaturate the area with the tea tree oil mixture. Allow the item to air dry.

    Vinegar

      Wipe the surface mold and mildew with a damp, soapy cloth.

      Pour undiluted distilled white vinegar into a clean spray bottle.

      Spray the mold and mildew with the vinegar. Allow the vinegar to sit on the item for 15 minutes.

      Saturate a sponge in the vinegar and wipe the area clean. Allow to air dry.

    Grapefruit Seed Extract

      Pour 2 cups of water inside a spray bottle. Add 20 drops of grapefruit seed extract to the water.
