Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Access
  1. Step 1

Learn HTML code. HTML is a key element of using Style Sheets since you will define your own tags.

  2. Step 2

Visit the HTML Writers Guild, an online group that offers free trial memberships and inexpensive, online classes.

  3. Step 3

Contact your local community college or university for information about classes. Many colleges offer bundled groups of Web design courses, for which you receive a certificate and/or credits.

  4. Step 4

Learn CSS by hiring a private tutor. Computer science students, college students and Web professionals often charge less money for hands-on training.

  5. Step 5

Purchase a good, updated CSS reference manual. Most manuals come with step-by-step instructions, as well as detailed explanations.

Tips & Warnings
  • Typing "CSS" into any search engine will yield multiple Web sites that explain how CSS works, how it began and how to use it.
